Team leader of the Municipal Support Team (MST) in Nepal at the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (Ministry of Urban Development). Responsible for GIZ funded technical support for the implementation of the Worldbank financed Urban Governance and Development Program (UGDP) comprising construction of infrastructure and institutional capacity development in 6 emerging towns. Responsibilities as team leader: overall coordination of project; communication with institutions and client; strategy development; project management; time planning; technical steering; budgeting and financial administration; staff management; supervision of contracted consultants.

Support project to the BMBF-research programme „Future Megacities“, TU Berlin

Project manager and researcher for overall programme coordination, scientific support and implementation consultancy to 9 international research/application projects in the field of sustainable urban development, climate change mitigation/adaptation and energy efficiency in Hyderabad/India, Hefei/China, Urumqi/China, HCMC/Vietnam, Tehran/Iran, Casablanca/Morocco, Addis Ababa/Ethiopia, Gauteng/South Africa and Lima/Peru.

Consultant to the post-Tsunami “Rebuilding Community Infrastructure and Shelter Project” in Galle City. Tasks: conception and implementation of a project management system (work plans, budgeting, progress monitoring, reporting, communication, staff coordination), regional donor coordination for permanent housing, and community action planning workshops.
